Bret Yount
Bret trained as an actor at the University of Arkansas and the Guildford School of Acting. He is currently a member of Equity’s Fight Directors Register, a CT with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and a Master Teacher with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat (BASSC).
Recent fight direction credits include Hamlet (Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company/RADA), Girl from the North Country (Old Vic), The Treatment (Almeida Theatre), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (Harold Pinter Theatre), An American in Paris (Dominion Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Young Vic), Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin (Theatre Royal Stratford East), The Children, X, (Royal Court), The Exorcist (Birmingham Rep), One Night in Miami (Donmar Warehouse) and the Branagh Theatre Plays at the Garrick season.
Bret has taught at a number of UK drama schools and has held workshops in the UK, US, Canada, Israel, Singapore and Germany.
