Tanya Ronder
Tanya trained at RADA. She moved from acting to writing, specializing in adaptation. Her work for theatre includes Table (The Shed, NT); Dara (The Lyttelton, NT – ACTA award Best Production); Liolà (Lyttelton, NT); Hex the musical (Olivier, NT); Ionesco’s Macbett (RSC); Filumena (Almeida); Blood Wedding (Almeida); Peter Pan (Kensington Gardens, 02, USA tour); Fuck the Polar Bears (Bush); Vernon God Little (Young Vic - Olivier nomination Best New Play); Peribanez (Young Vic); Film includes King Bastard and short film collaboration, Sisters, (London Short Film Festival).
Tanya is a trained coach (PG cert. Coaching Psychology, Birkbeck); (Fundamentals of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regent’s College); (MSc in The Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health, Kings College London, ongoing); IFS (Stepping Stones training in Internal Family Systems).
Alongside writing, mentoring and collaboration for theatre, Tanya has taught writing at the University of Sussex, Bush Theatre, 503 and the Arvon Foundation, and has been teaching Introduction to Playwriting on RADA’s Foundation course since 2015. Her writing students have gone on to gain places at film school and established writing programs, and have subsequently had plays, films and TV shows produced internationally.
