Full casting has been announced for the Bridge Theatre's Julius Caesar, which opens at the new central London theatre in January. The previously-announced Ben Whishaw (Brutus) and David Morrissey (Mark Anthony) will be joined by four more RADA alumni.

Abraham Popoola, who graduated in 2016 and won this year's The Stage Debut Award for Best Actor for the title role of Othello, will play Trebonius, one of the conspirators of Caesar's murder. Abraham has also appeared in Boudica and The Secret Theatre at Shakespeare's Globe.

2017 graduate Kit Young joins the cast as Octavius, the adopted son and heir of Julius Caesar and one of the triumvirs after his death. Kit most recently appeared in The Real Thing alongside RADA's Laurence Fox, touring the show to Cambridge, Bath and Kingston. Fellow 2017 graduate Leaphia Darko also joins the cast in the ensemble. During her training Leaphia appeared in the Almeida Theatre's Mary Stuart, and recently played Sosa in Cookies at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

RADA alumna Wendy Kweh plays Calpurnia, the wife of Julius Caesar. Wendy is known for her roles on TV including in The Bill, Holby City and Coronation Street, while her theatre credits include Boy (Almeida Theatre), Snow in Midsummer (RSC), You For Me For You (Royal Court), and Chimerica (Almeida Theatre/West End).

Julius Caesar is the second show at the Bridge Theatre, following Young Marx this autumn. Visit the Bridge Theatre website for more information.
