Special screening Wicked and Q&A with Cynthia Erivo, RADA graduate and Vice-President

We were delighted to host a special screening of Wicked followed by a Q&A with Cynthia Erivo, RADA graduate and Vice-President, on 7 December.

During the Q&A, Cynthia answered questions from our students and offered fascinating, technical insights into her vocal approach, the audition process and the rigour and craft she brought to the film as well as how her work on stage prepared her for the role, saying, ‘I think that the training on stage readied me for being able to sing on a set.’

Cynthia graduated from RADA in 2010 and was appointed RADA Vice-President in February 2024. On her appointment she said, ‘I am thrilled to be joining David [Harewood as President] and the whole team at RADA as the Academy’s Vice President. Having trained at the academy, I am acutely aware of how important a strong support system is, when it comes to education in the arts’.
