Matt Leventhall
Matt is a freelance lighting designer for opera, theatre and dance. Matt originally trained on a Postgraduate in Stage Electrics at RADA and in 2017 became the Head of Production Lighting.
As a lighting designer, Matt’s work has been seen most recently at London theatres including the Barbican, Young Vic, Wilton’s Music Hall, Arcola, Southwark Playhouse and Trafalgar Studios. His regional work includes Leatherhead Theatre, Theatre by the Lake, York Theatre Royal, Mercury Theatre and Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, as well as UK, China and other international tours.
As an associate lighting designer Matt has worked for Paul Pyant on Hamlet (Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company/ RADA); David Howe on The Comedy About A Bank Robbery (Criterion Theatre, West End); and Jo Town on My Mother Said I Never Should (St James Theatre).
Matt also designed Secret Cinema’s site-specific Who’s Framed Roger Rabbit? and TEDx London at the Roundhouse.
