MA Theatre Lab, 2018
Before I applied to RADA, I was a professional working actor in Korea. I was at the peak of my career, but I felt the need to experience more.
Although I had already earned an MFA degree from UCLA, there were no doubts about my decision to apply to RADA. First of all, it is RADA – what more can I say! Secondly, the MA Theatre Lab offers many different styles of acting (for instance, Grotowski, Brecht, clowning and so on) which I’d never had the chance to come across during my career. Finally, I wanted to extend my career outside of Korea, and what better place could there be to start than RADA.
The MA Theatre Lab is highly demanding both physically and mentally, and it gave me wonderful opportunities to grow as a person and as a professional actor. RADA and its MA Theatre Lab have given me far more than I expected and have opened a new chapter of my life. I am very proud to say that I am a part of RADA.
