Student Wellbeing Advisor

Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £38,000 pro rata per annum. £15,200 per annum for 0.4 contract
Hours: Part-time (15 hours per week Sessional)

The role:

We have an excellent opportunity to join the Wellbeing team at RADA, as a Student Wellbeing Advisor. This is a permanent contract at 0.4 hours during term time.

In this role, you will work face-to-face and online with RADA students providing clinical assessment, drop-ins and some ongoing, brief counselling sessions. The job involves working as part of a team within the Wellbeing Service, which is comprised of both a counselling and disability service.

To be successful in this role, experience within a counselling or mental health organisation is beneficial

Additionally, you will have knowledge of a range of student wellbeing issues and have some experience of working with a diverse student population. The successful candidate will also understand legislation that is relevant to working within a Higher Education setting.

You will be IT literate and able to work with online student record systems, as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills.

To meet the requirements of this student-facing role, the successful candidate will be based on-site at RADA’s office. Working Thursdays and some early evenings will be required to provide service cover, but there is some flexibility in terms of other working days and hours.
